Judging from the perky rental debut of While You Were Sleeping,it may seem time to once again pay homage to Sandra Bullock's huge drawing power. But take a quick peek at Casper in the top spot. See anything in common? That's right. It seems like 1995 is the year of Bill Pullman, not Sandra Bullock. After a career of vanilla supporting roles, Pullman has delivered two star turns that have racked up more than $180 million combined at the box office. The week's two other debuts, though, fell well below the top 10: Panther ($6.8 million in theaters) was a mere pussycat at No. 15, and the tongue-in-cheek chiller Tales From the Hood ($11.7 million) didn't scare up much business, landing at No. 19. Maybe they should have cast Bill Pullman.

(Note: Casper was at #1, while WYWS was at #2)
