Bill Pullman received the "Excellence in Acting" award at the Woodstock Film Festival Maverick Awards for his performance in the title role of "The Ballad of Lefty Brown".  Jared Moshe, Writer-Director of the film, nominated Pullman for the award and presented it to him.  Moshe wrote the part of Lefty Brown for Pullman.  When asked which of Pullman's film performances inspired him to make that choice, he said: "All of them."

"The Ballad of Lefty Brown" tells the story of a longtime sidekick who suddenly finds himself alone, betrayed and accused of murder when his partner is killed.  He struggles to find the wits, courage and guts to set things right in a brutal, changed world where no one thinks he is up to the job.

"The Ballad of Lefty Brown" was shot entirely on location in Montana. Pullman's wife Tamara, and children Maesa, Jack and Lewis are in the film.  "The Ballad of Lefty Brown" opens December 15 in the USA.
